Moore On Health – Tea & Toast Event

Tea & Toast Flyer Second VersionMay 30, 2017 – Moore On Health in collaboration with Dr. Gary Proffett Medical Director for Buena Vista Care Center and the facility’s Executive Administer Kirk Klotthor would like to say a very sincere and heart felt thank you to Alison Hardy and the staff of Jeannine’s Bakery located in Montecito, California for host hosting our long-term residence Tea & Toast event.The purpose for this event was to provide a change of scenery that would stimulate and help increase a sense of vitality and energy, which in turn can help boost resiliency to physical illness for our long-term care patients.

Jeannine’s Bakery provided a beautiful and inviting space set up for 10 of our long term residences comfortably arrange with tea biscuits, scones, cakes, sandwiches, fruit and wonderful service. In addition to the great hospitality was the Santa Barbara 1st District County Supervisor Das Williams speaking with our residence and welcoming them to his district.

Buena Vista Care Center is a long-term care and skilled care facility managing 115 patients. Dr. Gary Proffett is the Medical Director for the facility and through Moore On Health nurse practitioner Charlotte A. Gullap-Moore collaborates with Dr. Proffett providing medical coverage for long-term and skilled care rehabilitation patients at the facility. The level of acuity and medical management for these LTC/SNF patients can range from recent open heart surgery, hip replacement, knee replacement, pneumonia, uncontrolled diabetes, amputations, mental illness, cancer patients and much more.

We believe in providing exceptional care and utilizing phenomenal health care providers is the key ingredient. Which is why Buena Vista Care Center has been recognized as a recipient of the Bronze – Commitment to Quality National Quality Award presented by the American Health Care Association, National Center for Assisted Living and Covenant Care Rehabilitation Excellence Award. DSC_1032
